Now to just read book 6, and all will be complete. The mystery plot to each novella is less complicated but no less enjoyable. I particularly like how the relationship between Will and Taylor develops within The Dangerous Ground novellas in Armed and Dangerous and Kick Start have long been a favourite of mine. I particularly like how the relationship between Will and Taylor develops within each story.

The interaction between the characters is superb, both in and outside their working environment. It took me until the end of the first story to adjust to the new narrator. That was very enjoyable story and narration. I'm ready for the next installment! Sep 27, Pontiki rated it really liked it. Dangerous Ground-4 stars-interesting story of 2 Diplomatic security service officers on a vacation hiking in the mountains. They happen upon a train wreck and 2. They also happen upon a new layer to their friendship and work partnership, becoming lovers almost reluctantly, fearing how it will go.

Great start to this Dangerous Ground-4 stars-interesting story of 2 Diplomatic security service officers on a vacation hiking in the mountains. Great start to this series. Old Poison-4 stars-when Taylor has some strange things start to happen, first with a bottle of wine with a cobra inside it, he brushed it off until things become more serious. In the meantime, Will is wirkingvwith David, whom hedayed before Taylor was shot. Though still attracted, he handles things well, not wanting anything to get in the way of his relationship with Taylor.

Interesting history Taylor has in Japan, which finally comes to light in this book. As does the next step for these two, moving in together. Taylor believes her, Will goes along, and a big mess is created when another agent takes her to get the reward put out by the DSS. Cool story with lots of twists and some fun humour. False alarm it seems, until he gets to Paris and the group the man was attached to starts threatening bombs are planted at the Eiffel Tower and the catacombs.

He has some snippets of memory, but in the meantime they get on with tracking down the terrorist. They discover the man himself, his reason for causing havoc, and luckily, Will remembers everything. Kick Start-4 stars-trying to start their own security consulting business, Will and Taylor are in debt, in conflict, then, of course, in trouble. Oh, and Taylor is trying to reach his stepdad to ask for a loan for their business, but having no luck. The witness returns, the surveillance guy is a joke rather than a threat, ditto for the Dooleys.

Alls well that ends well. Jan 02, Beth rated it really liked it. Five novellas in one book This book could matins the five novellas that make up the Dangerous Ground series starring Will Brandt and Taylor MacAllister.

  1. Review: Dangerous Ground by Josh Lanyon;
  2. Into White Silence?
  3. Anti Social?

Will and Taylor are federal agents, partners, working for the Diplomatic Security Bureau, the law enforcement branch of the State Department. Book five leaves a big mystery hanging with no sign there is a book six coming any time soon.

Rambo: Last Blood (2019 Movie) Teaser Trailer— Sylvester Stallone

Book four really ratchets up the emotional level and I felt real pain and sorrow for Taylor. Nov 13, Soumi rated it it was ok. The series was entertaining enough. Being novellas and not full books makes it hard to see how good the author really is. The length was one of the best features. Straight to the point and no page fillers. Fell in like with the characters Tay more than Will.

As they are swift and uncomplicated. There was a bit too much angst and unhappiness in these books. The last story does not wrap things up much, leaves a number of issues dangling. Oct 20, Heather Martin rated it really liked it. I loved Taylor but Will was harder for me to love. I listened to the audio and thought the narrator did a great job!

Interesting read; felt like an ending was missing. Would like to know if Will and Taylor tied the knot. Aug 18, Nicki rated it it was amazing. Listened to audio great narration. Aug 11, Lady Cassiopeia rated it liked it. I'm a big fan of Josh Lanyon and have read the Adrien series several times as well as other of her full-length novels. The point blank series seemed disjointed and left me disappointed in general.

What I love most about this author is her ability to make me feel what her characters are going through and connect with them. I couldn't connect with the main characters here at all. Each story felt incomplete and the whole series felt like fluff to me because I couldn't empathize on a deeper level. I I'm a big fan of Josh Lanyon and have read the Adrien series several times as well as other of her full-length novels.

I give three stars for the superb writing and for the few lines here and there that made me smile but on the whole, it is not a series I would re-read or even recommend to friends. I love love love how they know each other so well.
